1. Mahindra Thar (3 door) – Questionable for a family man

Thar is known for its boldness and rugged finish, making it the dream car for all the bachelors. But let’s be honest, looks are not the only thing that matters at the end of the day. Good luck asking your family and friends to squeeze in the back seat, lol. No doubt, thar is an off-roading beast and an icon we all love spotting on the roads, but it’s just not the right car for you and your family. 

Impracticality Score: 6/10 Looks magnificent, as long as you’re willing to carry your luggage on your lap. 

2. Tata Nano – Chota Packet, Chota Dhamaka

Did you know that Ratan Tata initially wanted to design a safe two-wheeler for the Indian market? But eventually decided to work on a design for a car and ended up with this glorified autorickshaw. Let’s be real, it lacks basic comfort and it’s not meant for highway driving. 

Impracticality Score: 8/10 Looks cute, Great in theory, impractical in execution.

3. Renault Kwid- A perfect catfish, looks sporty and feels flimsy

If you want to waste your money, then this is your car. It may look like an SUV, but it’s a sporty version of the Maruti Swift. It lacks build quality and is not a great choice for road trips. 

Impracticality Score: 8.5/10 Wannabe SUV, hatchback in disguise. 

4. Mahindra Bolero- Thar’s doppelganger

Mahindra Bolero lacks modern features and seems like it’s stuck in the past. No doubt, it’s built strong but is not exactly fuel-efficient and feels stiff. Bolero is a horrible outdated technology vehicle. It will also soon be out of emission norms. The ride quality is horrible, and there are a lot of better options that you can consider. 

Impracticality Score: 9/10 Tough but not comfortable.

5. Jeep Wrangler- Traffic sufferer and wallet drainer

Squeezing into a Jeep Wrangler feels like you’re sitting inside a Maruti 800. It may be good for off-roading, however for city commutes it may not be the right purchase. Also if you’re insanely rich then go for it, because it drinks fuel like there is no tomorrow. 

Impracticality Score: 7/10 Suffers in traffic, thrives in mud.
